restore your faith in politicians (literally)

this fella to the left here is the governor of Wisconsin (according to www.festivuspoles.com), and here he stands with his festivus pole. wow! this is, for me, kinda like jesse ventura announcing that religion was a crutch for the masses.

a major politician endorsing a non-religious event (nay, a holiday seemingly created to defy organized religion): well, throw a ham at me and call me a dixie chick.

ya never know. ya know?

NOTE: governor jim doyle, in response to michael richards' racist rant, apparently announced that he will not be celebrating festivus. that's like punishing a cucumber because a tomato behaved badly. reconsider, governor!
